 Hyderabad. Medicine from the sky project was started in Telangana. Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia launched 'Medicine from the Sky'. Through this project, medicines will be delivered to the primary health care centers using drones. Right now this pilot project has been started in 16 green zones of Telangana. Later it can be launched all over the country.

'Medicine from the Sky' is an initiative of the Government of Telangana, developed in association with World Economic Forum and NITI Aayog and Health Net Global.

How will the drone work?

Like a primary health center demanded a vaccine. Through the app, he will reach the team sending the message. Then after receiving the message, the second team will send the vaccine via drone. The drone takes off after checking the air conditions, audio pilot system and GPS tracker. When the drone is about to land, a message is sent to the PHC. Then the employees collect the package through an OTP.
