Patna. After the meeting of the 11-member team led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on August 23 with the Prime Minister regarding the caste-based census, the Union Minister has given it a new twist by tweeting. Union Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Giriraj Singh has said that whatever census is conducted, it should be for the interest of the society and not for the political interest.

On this issue, he has tweeted only this one line, from which many meanings are being extracted. Here, national spokesperson Guru Prakash Paswan has attacked Tejashwi Yadav in the BJP state office regarding this issue.

He has said that the sentiments of more than 20% Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes people of Bihar have been hurt due to Tejashwi's petty remarks. They should reconsider this superficial statement of theirs. For this they should apologize.

Census should not be based on caste, it should be economic: Dr. Thakur

Former Union Minister of BJP Dr CP Thakur has said that the basis of census should not be caste but economic status. It is not proper to pressurize the Prime Minister to conduct a caste based census. He has issued a release saying that if there is a census, then it should be done on the basis of richness and poverty.

The caste census is a conspiracy to divide the society. There is no point in dividing the society in caste. All are children of Mother India. The BJP also follows the concept of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas.
