Official of National Health Authority’s Ayushman Bharat diagnosed as having the COVID-19


New Delhi, 19/04/2020: In an urgent letter shot off to Dr Harsh Vardhan, Central Health Minister, a request has been made to make an arrangement to shift the coronavirus victim of Ayushman Bharat to Safdarjung Hospital of the National capital for better medical facility and care.

“Rajiv Kumar Jha working as Personal Secretary to the Additional CEO of Ayushman Bharat under National Health Authority, has been diagnosed as having the COVID-19”, said Dr Birbal Jha, who wrote a letter to the central health minister for the purpose.


“Ayushman Bharat‘s official Rajiv is currently admitted to the Room No- 118 at the special ward of LNJP Hospital, New Delhi. He should be provided with the best possible medical care and attention’ added Dr Jha, chairman of Mithilalok Foundation, a non-governmental organization.

 The members of Rajiv’s family are located at Mandawali of East Delhi, who also need special attention given the highly contagious coronavirus” urged Dr Birbal.

“Necessary steps should be taken to trace the chain of contacts and ensure that the preventive measures are in place, given the situation”, reads the letter urging the Central Health Minister.
