Mumbai Indians have won ninth in IPL-13.
Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals by nine wickets in the 51st match of IPL-13 played in Dubai. This is Delhi's sixth defeat.
After the bowlers' fine performance, the batsmen of Mumbai Indians showed a great game and achieved the 111-run target for Delhi in the 15th over. Ishaan Kishan scored an unbeaten 72 for Mumbai.
Ishaan Kishan and Quinton de Kock got off to a good start for Mumbai. Both of them added 68 runs in 10.2 overs for the first wicket.
Delhi got their first success in the 11th over by Enrique Norquia. He made De Cock bold. He returned to the pavilion after scoring 26 runs.
But Ishaan Kishan kept banging with the bat. He completed half century in 37 balls. Ishaan Kishan gave Mumbai the victory by hitting a six off the ball of Norquia on the second ball of the 15th over. He remained unbeaten with 72 runs with the help of eight fours and three sixes. Suryakumar Yadav scored 12 not out.
Before this, the Mumbai Indians bowlers led by Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult dominated the batsmen of Delhi Capitals. The Delhi batsmen struggled to score runs and the team could only manage 110 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs.
Delhi captain Shreyas Iyer scored 25 and Rishabh Pant scored 21 runs. For Mumbai, Jasprit Bumrah took three for 17 and Trent Boult took three wickets for 21 runs.
