The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has launched 'Delhi Metro-SBI Card' on Friday in association with India's largest bank SBI Cards (SBI Cards) issuing Pure Play Credit Cards. This multi-purpose card will be beneficial for the passengers of Delhi Metro in every respect. 'Delhi Metro-SBI Card' was jointly issued by Dr. Mangu Singh, Managing Director of DMRC and Ashwani Kumar Tiwari, Managing Director and CEO of SBI Card. Other senior officers of Delhi Metro and SBI Card were also present on the occasion.
Topup will be on amount less than Rs 100
Users will be able to use this multi-purpose card as a smart card with auto top-up facility when the card has less than Rs 100 left. Credit card facility will automatically recharge the top-up value of Rs 200 from the card or bank account linked to the user in the card. In addition, this combo card can also be used for all regular credit card transactions.
Cashless transactions will get a boost
Speaking on the occasion, DMRC MD Dr. Mangu Singh said that, this effort is in line with DMRC's commitment to support the digital campaign to promote cashless transactions for the passengers of Delhi Metro, which is today one of the social distancing lives Has become a part. Card recharge can be done through TVM
In the recent past, DMRC has also introduced several other measures to avoid the time line for the sale of smart cards or tokens at stations and to save time. These include options for top-up smart cards through TVM, introduction of metro combo cadres in collaboration with other banks, net-banking, mobile wallet etc. using credit or debit card transaction facility at stations.
