An ‘Honor
of Bravery’ was presented to Jagat Pal Singh, who retired as Junior
Commissioned Officer ( JCO) from Indian Army was one of the soldiers who used
the 84 MM Rocket Launcher (known as Kaal Gustakh) in Kargil War, fought for two
months between Indian Pakistan in 1999. This award was bestowed upon him by Sri
RK Jha, IPS (R) at Kargil Victory Day organized by Lingua Multiservices,
institute of English communication skills of national repute in Delhi.
Receiving
the honor, JP Singh said “I am thankful to the Lingua Family for giving me such
an honor. Further, I am immensely pleased to be a part of Kargil Victory Day
Celebration here. I appreciate the Lingua Family for organizing such an event
at the national capital –Delhi.”
Addressing
the gathering on the occasion, RK Jha, who retired as Additional Vigilance
Commissioner from Delhi Government last year tried to instill a sense of
patriotic sentiments in the youth at the nationalistic function, saying that
national interest must be above personal interest.
Decoding the
quote from Billy Graham – “when wealth is lost, nothing is lost; when health is
lost, something is lost; when a character is lost, all is lost.” the
bureaucrat-turned –social worker called for probity in the lives of today’s
youth. Further, he added that the practice of and adherence to this meaningful
quote is all panacea and would lead to happiness in one’s life.
“We
sleep at nights because the boundaries of the country are well-protected by our
great soldiers who sacrifice a lot even to the extent of their lives to secure
the country from any infringements, intrusions and invasions. Hence, we must
salute their indomitable valor and courage; and be proud of them for sacrifices
and patriotism” said noted author and head of Lingua Group, Dr Birbal Jha, who
is known as the ‘Youngest Living Legend of Mithila’ where Goddess Sita was born
in the second epoch- Treta.
The
song –Jashn-e-Hindustan, the lyrics of which was composed by Dr Birbal and sung
by Jyoti Mishra was played on the occasion, which kept the audience
spell-bound.
