Sania Mirza enters the third round of mixed doubles

India's top female tennis star Sania Mirza entered the third round of mixed doubles in Croatia with her partner Ivan Dodig on Sunday, in the second Grand Slam Tournament of the year, French Open. However, India failed in the men's doubles category. India's top male doubles partner Rohan Bopanna and Uruguay's Pablo Cuevas lost in the second round.

In the mixed doubles, Sania-Dodig's second-seeded pair defeated Ukraine's Elena Spitolina and Arthum Sitak of New Zealand 6-2, 6-4 in straight sets. Sania-Dodig completely dominated her rivals. He applied 5 s instead of 1 and got 5 break points out of 6. Sania-Dodig took just 1 hour 4 minutes to win the match.

Sania-Dodig will now fight the winner of the match between the pairs of Benoit Peire-Cloque Pequet and Bopanna-Gabriella Dabrowski in the quarterfinals. On the other hand, the ninth seed pair of Bopanna and Quetta defeated British Jamie Murray and Brazil's Borna Soares 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 in the men's doubles match of the third round.
