Lalu’s Family in Maha Land Ghotala

In the case of Anonymous property, the problems of Lalu Prasad Yadav, including the family, are increasing. The Income Tax Department seized 10 properties of the Lalu family. Apart from this, a case has been registered against son and daughter Lalu Yadav, respectively Tej Pratap Yadav and Misa Bharti. The Income Tax Department has also registered a case against Lalu's wife Rabri Devi in ​​the case of Anonymous property.

The Income Tax Department has seized all the benami properties which are said to belong to Laloo Yadav's children. Income Tax Department has seized properties of Lalu's wife Rabri Devi, son Tejasiv Yadav, daughter Misa Bharti and her husband Shailesh, daughter Ragini and daughter Chanda. Earlier, orders for seizing an Anonymous property belonging to Lalu's children were issued on Monday.

Also, Laloo Yadav's eldest daughter and Rajya Sabha MP Misa Bharti was summoned by the income tax department. She has to appear before the department in the first week of July and was asked clarify the transaction on benami property.

Earlier, the Income Tax Department had seized the property worth 50 crores. According to the Act, the department has to give 90 days’ time to clarify. If the related party fails  to give the cogent reason for their bona fide ownership of the property, seizure and attachment proceedings are taken.

Significantly, the income tax department sent summoned to Misa Bharti and her husband Shailesh Kumar, but they did not appear. His lawyer told the media and security reasons behind it. 

Earlier, on June 6, the Income Tax Department had imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on Misa Bharti. On May 23, last year, the Income Tax Department had raided 22 premises linked to Lalu Yadav and his close aides in the case of benami property, though Lalu had denied the raid.
